Hey hey, awesome speaker! We’re super excited to partner with you for the Food & Herb Grower’s Summit!

Food & Herb Grower’s Summit is a 3-day event that will help gardeners grow more food and herbs for a happier and healthier life.

Our goal for this summit is that attendees will walk away with actionable steps to take to prepare for their next growing season!

This page will serve as a reference for everything you need to know, whether it be explained here or linked. You should always be able to come to this page and find what you need, so make sure to bookmark it!

How it will work

All of the speaker presentations will be held on separate landing pages, and discussion will be held in an attendee Facebook group set up specifically for this event. In this group, 

If attendees have good questions while your presentation is going on, you’re welcome to go live in the Facebook group for a bit of an encore to answer those questions, connect with the attendees, and provide even more value.

Leading up to the summit, we’ll have two weeks of promotion. You’ll be provided with email swipe copy, social media swipe copy, and social media graphics to make it all easy! We’ll even have a suggested posting/sending schedule for you to make promo easy to outsource to a VA.

During the promotion phase, as the summit is running, and for a week after the summit is complete, we’ll also be promoting the All Access Pass. This includes extended access to the replays and tons of speaker bonuses. This will provide immense value to our attendees, while making the work of promoting and creating a presentation worthwhile by allowing you to bring in affiliate commissions and grow your email list. Yay![

The Food & Herb Grower’s Summit will run from February 5-7, 2024. Presentations will include 15-20 minutes of content (with up to a 3-minute freebie pitch).

Your presentation should include strong, actionable content and provide a transformation for attendees, moving them closer to growing food and herbs. Here’s the suggested format:

  • 3-minute or less introduction
  • Topic overview
  • Where people go wrong when doing your craft
  • Teaching section
  • A challenge and specific action steps to give a transformation
  • Up to a 3-minute pitch* 

While the presentations themselves are pre-recorded, all speakers are asked to check the Facebook group for any questions directed toward them. Suggested guidelines for checking in are:

  • During your presentation day (periodically)
  • The next day

Of course, you are more than welcome to interact with attendees in there as much as you’d like beyond these guidelines. The more you interact with the attendees, the sooner they get to know, like, and trust you.

What We'll ask of you

Here’s what we’ll need from you:

BASIC INFORMATION – DUE ASAP (NOVEMBER 17 AT THE LATEST)

The first thing we’ll need is some basic information from you so I can finish up our registration page and Speakers page.

Once you give me the thumbs up that you’re in, our Speaker Outreach Coordinator will send you a link where you can upload all this information easily.

ALL ACCESS PASS CONTRIBUTION INFO – DUE NOVEMBER 17, 2023

The All Access Pass will be a huge addition to the presentations we’re running. To make it even more valuable and to give you an additional way to grow your email list, we’ll ask each of you to provide one resource to add. This includes things like:

  • Templates
  • Workbooks
  • Courses (big or small)
  • 1-month memberships
  • eBooks

Note: We are not accepting 1:1 offers.

It’s totally up to you to decide whether you’d like to create something new or provide something you already have. While this isn’t required, it’s highly encouraged that you participate.

Anyone who does contribute a premium resource will get a 50% affiliate commission on sales, rather than 40%. It’s also an opportunity to collect hundreds of extra email addresses as attendees claim your offer.

We cannot accept freebies or percentage-off offers.

Information for these resources is due on November 17, 2023. You’ll receive a link to a form to fill out closer to that time to make passing the information to me nice and simple.

Attendees will be able to start claiming your bonus right when registration opens on January 15, 2024.

WORKBOOK/SUPPLIES LIST/PROJECT PHOTOS – DUE DECEMBER 18, 2023

A workbook and supplies list is required to go along with your presentation. You are welcome to add affiliate links or link to an Amazon list for your project so you can make a little money through it. The workbook needs to have step-by-step instructions for the attendee to follow.

EDITED VIDEO PRESENTATION/DEMONSTRATION – DUE DECEMBER 18, 2023

Next up is your presentation! This is a 15-20 minute pre-recorded presentation that is meant to be more friendly and casual than perfect and structured. We want our attendees to learn something great, while having fun in the process.

Please structure your content in a way that allows attendees to walk away feeling like they’ve really learned something, rather than a webinar format where they feel like they’re missing something that they need to buy from you asap.

With that being said, you have your choice of the following presentation formats:

  • Overhead-shot instructional video
  • Slides/your face (if applicable)
  • A mixture of the two

No matter what format you choose, you are free to use your presentation however you’d like in the future. In an effort to preserve the value of the All Access Pass, we ask that you please refrain from giving it away for free for at least 90 days.

Your presentation should include great, actionable content. Here’s the suggested format:

  • A quick introduction
  • An overview of your topic
  • Where people go wrong with your topic and tend to overcomplicate it
  • Teaching section
  • Specific action steps (with the goal of simplifying their existing process)
  • Up to a 3-minute freebie pitch
  • Include questions for attendees to answer in the chat box throughout to boost engagement

PROMOTION – JANUARY 22 – FEBRUARY 7, 2024

The power of an online summit comes from a group of experts coming together for a single cause. The joint promotion that happens because of that is a huge benefit to everyone involved.

Because of that, everyone is encouraged to share twice by emailing your lists, and share twice on your social media channel with the largest reach during the promotion period, starting on January 22, 2024.

You’ll want to share using your affiliate link so you can get in on the 40% commission that will come from any All Access Pass sales (50% if you’ve contributed a premium bonus).

You’ll find swipe copy and graphics in the Resource Vault below.

EVENT PARTICIPATION – REQUIRED ON YOUR PRESENTATION DAY

And last comes participation during the week of the event. Since we’ll already have done the work of creating the presentations and extra resources, we’ll be able to sit back and relax for the most part!

While the presentations themselves are pre-recorded, all speakers are asked to check into their Discord channel and answer the attendees’ questions in the #questions thread a few times during the summit. Suggested guidelines for checking in are:

  • During your presentation day (periodically)
  • The next day

Participating in the event discussion with attendees strengthens the “know, like, and trust” factor. The more your attendees interact with you, the more they get to know you, like you, and eventually trust you.

AFFILIATE PAYOUTS – BY MARCH 11, 2024

Affiliate Details

While summits are great for overall visibility and making new connections, a little extra income never hurts either, right?

That’s exactly why I’ve set up an affiliate program for the All Access Pass where you’ll receive a commission from all sales from traffic you refer to the event. Payouts will be made by March 7, 2024.

The commission structure is as follows:

  • 40% for all speakers
  • 50% for all speakers who include a contribution to the All Access Pass

The pricing structure will be:

  • $35 for 20 minutes after initial registration
  • $55 from January 22-February 4, 2024
  • $85 from February 5-7, 2024

To make it as easy as possible for you to generate extra income, the Resource Vault includes things like email swipe copy, social media copy, and social share graphics. However, you’re more than welcome to write your own copy and even run your own Facebook ads. 

Just remember to use your affiliate link, which will be emailed to you before you receive promotional materials. (Your affiliate link will be set up and emailed to you before the Promotional Materials are provided to you.)

As with all affiliate promotions, be sure to disclose that you’re an affiliate when sharing with your audience.
